It is with great pleasure that I introduce you to:
The Lulu Raes
There are many way we discover new music, radio play being one of the most traditional and widespread. However, on this occasion it was a Neighbours work colleague Lesia Hrubyj who pointed me toward this exciting up and coming band. (Her son Taras is in the band along with Eddie, Marcus, Tom and Gus)
I was immediately seized by the band’s eclectic repertoire and their infectious, pop rock sound. The song they have gifted to you is their third single Swinging on a Vine of Sunshine. This pop song is immediately accessible and infectious for all listening tastes. Influences like the Strokes, the Beatles, Oasis and the Kooks are evident in much of their material.

The Lulu Raes have just released their latest tune, Never Leave. This follows the success of their five previous singles (The Way Life Runs, Reputation, Swing Me On A Vine Of Sunshine, Burnout & Infinite Paradise)- Notably, Burnout peaked at #3 on the AIR ‘Independent Radio Chart’ and finished up in Triple j’s ‘Most Played’ weekly chart on two occasions.
Have a listen to Never Leave:
The Lulu Raes recently signed with Verge Records (Sony) and their debut EP ‘All Our Parents Are Divorced’ was released in August with a headline tour following in September 2016.

Reviews:
“Every so often there’s a band that comes along that really stands out. …catchy melodies and soulful vocals that, quite literally, won’t leave your head for days” – Lost At E Minor
“The pop/rock outfit really hit the main vain, oozing into fun-filled dancey rhythms, carried by addictive lyrical melodies and harmonies that trail seamlessly through each arrangement” – Happy
“The entire room fed off The Lulu Raes’ energy, so much so that the floor was bouncing and at risk of caving in from the way too enthusiastic dancing. The band performed their form of sun-tinted indie pop wonderfully, encapsulating the pure essence of happiness” – The Music
