NICK KINGSWELL

Perhaps one of the bravest decisions a musician can make is to leave a comfort zone, supporting other artists and playing other people’s music, for an all out assault on developing a solo singer/songwriter career.

Nick Kingswell is one of those brave artists. At the age of 18, Nick chose the life of professional musician and enjoyed considerable success. He ventured into country music winning The Telstra Road to Tamworth in 2006 and recording a single for SONY/BMG. He worked as a guitarist for the likes of Guy Sebastian, Jessica Mauboy and The McClymonts for 5 years, as well as appearing on The Voice in 2013.

However, while all these ventures provided him with a comfortable living, he remained determined to pursue his own music and establish himself as a solo artist.

So he packed the guitar, gathered together copies of his new album and hit the road, busking in he UK and Europe. Soon residencies in London followed and suddenly he was selling serious numbers of albums as well as beginning to establish a presence in the USA.
